I’ll keep this brief. Why? Because you already know if you want to buy Amazon stock.

“I get commissions for purchases made through links in this post.”

Recently Robinhood started offering fractional share sales. What does this mean? Well, you can buy a fraction of any stock for just a dollar (Or any expensive stock like Google or Tesla). So, if you don’t have approximately $3k to purchase one share of stock, you can still get a piece of the pie.

Something else I learned along the way. I knew (by a gut feeling) that the stock was going up. So, I bought some. Then, I saw a different opportunity and sold it. The cool thing was that I STILL made a profit. Pretty cool huh. Looks like I should have kept it there :)

The high-level concept is that, if you know an expensive stock is going to rise, purchase as much as you can, then take the profit. You don’t have to have 3k to take advantage of it.

Here is their definition of fractional shares

Fractional shares are pieces, or fractions, of whole shares of a company or ETF. Since Robinhood Financial offers Fractional Shares, you can trade stocks and ETFs in pieces of shares, in addition to trading in whole share increments.

Fractional shares on Robinhood can be as small as 1/1000000 of a share, and trading fractional shares are real-time and commission-free.

Oh, and if you’ve read this far, if you sign up, they’ll also give you free stock. It’s a win/win.
